Obviously there’s a rock-paper-scissors aspect to be incorporated as with any good strategy game. What this really calls for is a complicated graph of what beats what. ---

This is a great list. This one: “Tier 10: Dolphins. The smaller animals can’t touch a dolphin, but a dolphin on its own isn’t much of a threat either. I put it here because anything in higher tiers is a loss, anything in lower tiers is probably a stalemate.” As a loyal fan, I am forced to point out to all and sundry that: “# The 1972 Dolphins are STILL the only undefeated NFL team in the history of the world” 50 years later and I can still sing the song. 😃 On topic, I don’t care for the name, but maybe it will grow on me. ---

I think the bigger problem is that the Patriots have always used the image of one of the Minutemen as a logo. It would be like taking on a name like the Kodiaks, Grizzlies, Tigers, Peregrines… They are variations of existing mascots. On the other hand the Raiders and Buccaneers are both pirates so I guess we already have that situation, so it might not have been a big deal. ---

I’ve been thinking about this list way too much today, and I think I’m going to say something that could turn this discussion heated. The Jets aren’t a Tier 2 mascot - they’re at the bottom. It’s not the Nukes, it’s the Jets. And a flock of small birds (Tier 12) can take out a jet. And as my dozens of rewatching of “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” have taught me, a man armed with even a simple umbrella can take down a jet. ---

A large enough quantity of anything can overwhelm an individual thing. I’m not rating things by if they can gang up on another in numbers. An individual raven or cardinal will not do a thing to a jet. Fighter jets have weapons. Even one with conventional weaponry will be able to take out anything else but a titan; a missile will blow off a giant”s head I’d expect. Or a large caliber machine gun. And if you want to take away the jet’s weapons, let’s disarm the cowboy, rip out the lion’s teeth and claws… It’s now getting weird. ---

Bizarre they put the years of the actual Super Bowl dates and not the _championship season years_ on the crest. It should be **1982** **1987** **1991** , not 1983 1988 1992. ---
