In reality, I will not eat it, being unable to resist the puppy dog eyes of my small child begging soulfully for that sweet, sweet crunchy skin. But in my dreams, I’m eating it ALL. ---

I splurge on frahd chik’n from the grocery deli whenever I have a “gold coin” that knocks a bag down to about $4. A really good bag has thin, crispy skin; more often I have to pull off chunks of breaded skin and toss it. I like to eat a little crispy fried skin with the meat, but not too much - both from a health standpoint and from just, y’know, taste. So none of the above for me. ---

A piece of fried chicken is, of course, a total package unto itself. Just pick it up and enjoy! Any sort of “editing” of the perfect piece of poultry leads me to think that the eater should look into buying boneless, skinless, (flavorless?) breasts and eating the sad, dry poultry potholder usually consumed by children… ---

I’ll eat mine. I’ll eat yours. Usually, I’ll eat one more piece than I should, and my 41 year old (fat, fecund, and female) gallbladder yells at me, runs out of bile, and I spend the rest of the night burping ugly burps and wishing I hadn’t had that last piece and swearing I’ll never do that again.
