Occurred. Or ocurred… wait, no, it’s occur, so it’d be occured … huh, one sec while I look this up. Every other word, though, just comes out naturally and _feels_ wrong if I mistype it. ---

I have to think really hard before I type “tomorrow”. Inevitably, I put in an extra “m”. “villain” seems to be a new addition to this list as well. Stupid vowels. jessica ---

Anything with “ei” or “ie” in it. For some reason I just can’t be bothered to recite the rule in my head… I just blaze on through and count on spellcheck to keep the rules straight. ---

Broccoli. I also grew up in a French community, so now that I’m in an English world, I still feel have problems with apartment/appartement, government/gouvernement, development/developpement… stuff like that. ---

You hit the nail on the head, Broodha… I can never get **necessarily** right, no matter how hard I try to learn it. I always mix up the c’s and s’s… No other word causes such problems. ---

I have a real problem with its/it’s. It’s awful (did I get that right?). I also chronically misspell “wierd.” I remember, when I was a kid away at summer camp, my friend Becca writing to me and asking me to use “strange” instead, because my frequent misspelling drove her nuts. 🙂 ---

I _always_ have a brain-fart when it comes to **across** or is it **accross**? Same with **adress** or is it **address**? 😕 ---

For me, **privilege** trips me up (I went to [dictionary.com](http://dictionary.com) just to make sure I’d spell it right in this post.) I usually end up spelling it **privelege.**. **Occasion** is another one. I get mixed up on whether it’s one O and two Ss or vice versa. I’ll second Ino’s mention of various forms of **occur** , such as **occurrence** , **occurred** , etc. ---

I’m lobbying Congress to have the official spelling of “safety” changed to “saftey” because that’s how I always spell it. It’s a good thing spell checker is there to save my ass or there would have been a prominent headline in Saturday’s paper about a “playground saftey survey.” ---
