What would a Constitution Party (religious-right) America be like?

I sense a lot of “I don’t think that means what you think it does” in their platform. For one example, I can see a society based on the Constitution or a society based on Biblical law. But I can’t see how anyone can reasonably claim to have a society based on both.

Do they oppose capital punishment?

A hard time believing they really mean this. I doubt they’re going to be happy about any self-governed individuals they are gay.

So, no divorce?

I’m sure you’ll have their full backing when you decide to open up your adult book store.

As I wrote above, I sense there’ll be a lot of “What the Founding Fathers meant to say was…”

Right. They’ll fully support Massachusetts gay marriage, Nevada prostitution, California porn industry, and New York abortion clinics.

They might actually mean this one. Except for Israel. And missionary rights. And fighting Communism.

Ah, yes. Israel is not actually mentioned in the CP platform – but it just might be the sticking point that blocks any merger with the America First Party. The CP’s potential vote base is almost entirely evangelical Protestants (plus a few conservative Catholics like Buchanan) and many of those are “Christian Zionists” (which Buchanan emphatically is not, and the AFP is hard against any American support for Israel).

Is a LaRouchie thread planned?

You start it. Not that it wouldn’t be interesting, but I’m trying to limit this to parties at least worthy of being listed here. (Minus the Republicrats, because why bother?)
