Opposite Day!
Dress like your favorite TV or movie or book character day.
Dress like a teacher day.
Sacrificing one of their own, selected by lottery, to a Pagan God(dess).
Good times all around.
Well, except for the victim.
I don’t think the issue with the cadmium jewelry is that people might lick or eat it.
I had a similar thought, but the first question in my mind was, “you mean the kind of fun when adults aren’t anywhere near?” My second thought was ‘porn’!
Could you do a movie day (or afternoon)? The kids can end the day by paying a buck and watching a movie. Maybe sell popcorn and let them dress like the characters. Or make a contest and whoever collects the most money gets to pick the movie (from a predetermined list).
Voodoo day - have every teacher bring in a doll to represent themselves, and charge per pin to stick in. Get laughs at who’s “most hated”.
How about selling Valentines? We used to sell lollipops that the kids could write messages on and then they would be delivered to the other students.
Red Day
Everybody wears Red clothing.
And sell Red “I support Haitain Earthquake Relief” ribbons.
Here are some of the dress up days I’ve experienced or helped my son prepare for:
Backwards/Inside Out day
Clash Day
70s Day
Crazy Sock Day
Wacky Hat Day
Pajama Day is the perenial favorite, though.
