What would be the best system for a magic healer?

That’s what the Wednesday jump-the-queue day and the city bidding are for. So “free” isn’t quite accurate, I guess.

The problem with stadiums and convention centers is that they aren’t really designed for through traffic. They’re designed to accommodate an influx of people equal to their capacity and that’s it. Afterwards it’s good luck getting home, and that’s without more people trying to get in.

The OP’s scenario is instant healing. Put me in a golfcart and have me run the Macy’s parade route high-fiving everyone at thirty miles an hour. Any injuries to myself or others resulting from high-speed slapping will be instantly healed along with everything else.

But I still think an airport is the way to go. They’re designed specifically for moving massive crowds through them, and in a relatively controlled manner. Coopting the Delta hub for a year might seriously rock the global economy but I bet we’d make it up on the benefits of a quarter million perfectly healthy people a day.

That laying on the hands stuff is so…19th century. The pandemic should have taught us the risks of spreading communicable diseases that way. The real money future is in distance healing. It’s quantum, man.

Just Google distance healing and shams shamans appear like magic.

When we talk about throughput difficulties, why even take them out of the vehicles? The sickest can best be supported inside an ambulance. And they’ll all need a vehicle to get to wherever i am anyway.

So just put me in a toll booth, and start cutting small windows into ambulances so that i can reach the people in the back. $1 a person, 8 hours per day, six days per week is about $7million per year for me. I’m good with that.

As for “catching up” i’m assuming these folks get total healing. Is that right? So genetic flaws, food/chemical addictions, all get healed. So eventually i could achieve a thotoughly healthy USA and move on to the next country. Folks would still get the flu, but they’d be healthy and strong enough to deal with it.

Could i physically get through India though? Or China?

There are more people being born per minute than you can heal per minute. All of them will get sick at some point or other, so if it’s just the one real magic healer there is no hope of healing the whole world of every ailment. There needs to be some triage.

So I think the best system will depend on the priorities and sensibilities of the healer - is it more important to heal a child from a life threatening disease, or, say, an important scientist?

I tend to agree with @Czarcasm - if your gift gets noticed, bad people will want it for themselves; bad people with the power or force to just make that happen regardless of it being right or wrong. How much healing can you do in secret before it becomes obvious that something is happening? - if you volunteer as a cleaner in a children’s hospice, what happens when all of the patients are discharged in full health? (also how do you even make that happen in secret without coming under suspicion; “I’m the cleaner here. I just need to touch your child for a second. It’s OK, don’t worry - I’m trying to touch all of the children!”)

What happens if the healer eschews travel, preferring to stay in Cleveland and have the sick travel to him/her?

What would China/Russia/Australia/Korea/Africa/etc say/do in response?
