My biker name is “Lurker” and its been that since the early 70s; because I tend to be everywhere but never in the middle of things. Even when riding in packs I tend to be out front as rabbit checking road conditions and situations or in the back doing sweep. So I’ll say it would probably be that. The only other one that springs to mind would be “Laughing Man” since I do laugh a lot and don’t take anything totally seriously. ---

To me it shows the universality of name types. I dunno. My name literally means “Strong ruler who is John’s son.” That doesn’t really work like Dances With Wolves. Patrynomic names are really common. My wife’s first name is, literally, “From Hadria (a town in Italy)” and the meaning of her last name is not easily discerned for sure but, still, it doesn’t scan well. My name would unquestionably be “Forgets Many Things.” ---

Per **CalMeacham** ’s suggestion, irl name translates (roughly) to Respect/Affection for a Young Dog. So. Who’s a good boy??? Ooh… I meant to add that, when _Dances with Wolves_ came out, one of my co-workers at a publishing company in Berkeley had her name legally changed to “Kindred Warrior.” ---

_Isna_ [I believe the “s” is pronounced like “sh”]. In Lakota, it broadly means “alone”, but I would use it in the sense of “Values His Personal Space”. ---
