Backing up a bit, if someone (like me, for instance) was willing to vote for Clinton last week despite what is known about her email “issue,” I don’t see how Friday’s letter would make any difference whatsoever. As for the content on that laptop, I can’t imagine anything that would change my view that she’s generally competent and slightly left of center. That’s all I ask, especially when she running against a person both completely incompetent and (at least pretending to be) far right. ---

It would have to be thousands of hours of lost tapes of Trump acting like an actual human being, speaking with eloquence and candor about matters other than himself, and admitting that he really doesn’t believe any of the sexist, racist, fascist, anti-intellectual rhetoric that he’s been spewing under duress for years. Also a video showing Hillary threatening to murder his entire family and release a plague virus that would wipe out 3/4 of the planet if he didn’t comply. Then I’d at least mull it over. ---

I’ll put it this way: With 9 days to go, Trump’s proven negatives are worse than anything that could conceivably be proven about Clinton to shift my vote. With more time, sure, lots of things can change my vote. But nothing that comes out with 9 days to go will be believed by me. The proof for something so massive will take a lot longer than 9 days to expose, and it will take longer than 9 days for me to consider the consequences of changing my vote. ---
