Probably as many people who didn’t vote for him, but who are now saying '_At **last** we have someone who’s willing to stomp on furriners_."
Many Americans don’t like Non-Americans.

Indeed. I was quietly hoping my instincts were wrong. But they were right.
There’s an interesting Twitter account called [Trump Regrets](https://twitter.com/Trump_Regrets) that retweets anyone expressing disappointment that they voted for him.

Many Americans hate other Americans for being different from them. I have never been so disappointed in my country as I have been over the last year, when it turned out that the racists and bigots and misogynists hadn’t actually learned better, but had simply been hiding under rocks and now feel free to come out into the sunlight.
As for Trump, I’d read his obituary with great pleasure, but that’s likely the only thing that I would like.

If he went on national tv, admitted he has pandered to racists and the ill-informed to get elected, admitted to his many unethical business practices, fired his cabinet, announced that global warming was a real and immediate threat, released all his tax returns, sold all his holdings and used the money to pay his many victims, released all documents related to his campaign’s contact with Russia, begged forgiveness for the harm he has done the nation and the world, instituted a truth and reconciliation commission to examine what role racism played in subverting Obama’s agenda, nominated a reasonable and enlightened Supreme Court justice and pledged this day forward to be guided by reason and compassion for the people of America, I would give him a chance.

Comparatively speaking, I kinda like Bernie. He’s due to re be released from prison just in time for the 2040 election, and I’m assuming he is a Republican, which gives him a ready-made unquestioning electoral constituency. At least, he admitted he was wrong. Maybe all I would need from Trump, would be for him to admit he was wrong about something. Even just saying “mistakes were made” would help a little.
If Trump just said “Hey I’m a pompous asshole and I was just fucking with you poor gullible bastards because, shit man, money can do anything.”
