Interesting take on the issue. WHen James Watt was Secretary of the Interior in the 1980s, he opined that it was our moral duty to **use up** the environment as rapidly as we could, because Jesus’s second coming was at hand! ---

Okay, seriously. I am not a Christian, and some would argue that Jesus has no place in environmental politics regardless of whether he is being used to send a liberal or conservative message. However, I have to say that if this campaign will reach an audience that would not otherwise listen, whats the harm? ---

I thought this was a joke (in the spirit of many of the replies) until I saw the link. In essence though, I agree with the OP. What’s the harm? Sure, it may offend people, but if everything that offended _someone_ was stopped, no one would do anything. N. ---

I think it’s great! It’s about time someone connected Christianity with preserving the Earth. If you believe in God, it seems completely irrational to assume He created it to be trashed. ---

One of them, and forgive me, but all of them tend to run together in my head since Tammy Faye and Robert Tilton (yes, I know, they weren’t married, Tammy and Jim were) got yanked from the air waves, basically said that environmentalists were all pagans and that God meant for us to do with the Earth as we chose, and since He was coming any day now, it didn’t matter a pair of fetid dingos kidneys what we did to it. ---
