Some ideas come to mind:

Bush 2000: Does the name “Hamlet” ring a bell?  
Gore 2000: Sure he’s dull, but, well… Wait, I’m thinking  
Campaign 2000: You may say to yourself “My God! What have I done?!” {with thanks to the Talking Heads}

Wake me when it’s over…
