This translation makes sense, except for this part “he imagines this necessarily, and he is disposed by this imagining”. How else can you express this?

Perhaps he means that there are things he can do, things he cannot do, things he imagines he can do, and things he imagines he cannot do. As for the last, he can only imagine that he cannot do something, but then since he figures he cannot do it he will not even try, and therefore he truly cannot do it.
