Besides being our friends & neighbors: The Monroe doctrine would be broken out to support our Sisters & brothers in the great white north against the evil Imperialistic Europeans. NATO agreements should be second to Monroe Doctrine. We love the war and this time the Canadians would have to do that damn tedious occupying Seriously, USA & Canada are like siblings that generally get along but have occasional minor spats, unless it was a completely berserk attack, I really think we would manufacture a reason to support Canada. ---

America has a secret weapon in the Can-Dan Conflict: [Lis Wiehl](http://www.winningeverytime.com/bio.html). She’s a lawyer, she’s half-Danish and speaks Danish, she’s written a book on conflict resolution, and she’s a total babe. Put her in charge of the peace talks, preferably at some really nice seafood restaurant, and everybody’s happy. ---

I’m with you. Canada is the United States’ largest trading partner, and the two countries are generally good friends. Unless the Canucks were rounding up the Danes and sending them to gas chambers (or something equally horrific) I’m sure that the US would believe Canada’s version of events. ---

Dang, **RickJay** , you did a much better analysis than I was going to do of the military situation, thus eliminating the need for that contribution. All you forgot was the four, oops, three, wait, is it down to two now (?) Windsor Class submarines. According to Tom Clancy, when they work, they’re about as good as SSKs get. As for all you people saying that the US would invade Canada, I should remind you that last time America invaded, we kicked them out heartily. Yeah, I know, that’s not what would happen these days. I just like to point it out whenever this topic comes up. 😃 ---

Where would the draft dodgers go from each country? I just don’t see 50,000 plus heading for Mexico. By the way if you changed the scenario to Canada vs. France, then the US would really role out full support for our Great friends the Canadians and the UK would probably get there first. 😃 ---
