I had a very strange week this week, I have been obsessing over a new hobby and have been on a natural high. I normaly want sex nearly everyday but this entire week have been close to impotent and unable to achieve orgasm, actually I have been uninterested but trying to go through the motions. To maintain a high level of passion and energy for something I suspect it could take the place of sex and I would not miss it. ---

Sex, per se, I have already given up. (Late middle-age male virgin. So it goes.) However, I’d have to be offered something pretty good to give up the old right-hand-wank. So you’re not just giving up sex, you’re giving up the option to even have romantic relationships at all. Or at least I would be. I’ve been dealing with a nasty thrombosed hemorrhoid for the past two weeks, with periodic bursts of level-10 pain and a modal experience of sore, grumpy shittiness. I even went to the ER this weekend to get some oxycodone, which I never do. Me and the Mrs. are still doin’ it. So… nothing. ---

Hmm, interesting question. I don’t think there is any enticement that would convince be. I can think of a circumstance however. If my hubby of many years became unable to perform, via accident or illness, - ever again, I think I could give it up in exchange for that relationship continuing. Willingly and without regret. ---
