Sex is good stuff, but there’s plenty of things that are more important to me. Since we’re still able to have children and have the intimacy aspect, I honestly couldn’t really care all that much about orgasm. So, I’d give that up for a family and for that very intimacy, for gainful employment in a career I enjoy more than what I’m doing now, for pretty much anything that would improve my artistic expression whether through greater ability or greater exposure. And for financial security, it wouldn’t even have to be rich, just never have to worry about paying bills, missing too much work or whatever. ---

Well, let me put it this way: orgasms are an awesome thing. They make me very happy, and I don’t get nearly as many of them as I would like. But there are a lot of other things I don’t have, or don’t have enough of, or have now but can’t guarantee having forever: financial security, companionship of good friends, good health, family I love, and so on. Each of these things is more important to me than orgasms, and I’d gladly give up orgasms if it would ensure that I’d have one of these things forever. ---

Important question: Give up sex because you have no sex drive any more, or still have a sex drive and just can’t do anything about it? Because if it’s the first one, I’d PAY to be in that situation. Sex is overrated. ---

I might consider giving up sex in exchange for being a world class musician on the instruments of my choosing, having the ability to enjoy good health while playing at that level for the next 30 years or so at which point I would die quickly and painlessly. ---
