I do not know what is the male equivalent of Katherine, but I know and know of male Karen and also Kari. So you may stick with “Karen”. ---

Chad is something different. It’s a much older term that incels use for men who are popular with women. Male Karens are called Ken. ---

For a male Karen, “Jared” works so much better for me. Unless the douchebag in question is old, senile, and exceptionally obnoxious, in which case “Donald” works for me. With apologies to people who actually have those names who are probably perfectly nice, but I can’t help my preconceived impressions. ---

Yeah, it’s definitely not “Chad,” at least not around here. “Chad” is more of a “bro” kind of character who is good with women. It doesn’t connote any Karen-ness at all. Once again, around here (Chicago). Maybe it’s come to mean something else elsewhere, but it’s more a superficial frat boy party type who gets all the ladies. ---
