My cat and I do have opposing political views. I’m firmly on the side of don’t scratch the desk and don’t paw me in the face at 5:30 AM. My cat on the other hand is firmly in the scratch the desk and paw me in the face at 5:30 AM. I believe that my cat has these political views because he is dumb so that’s how I voted. P.s. - I adore my dumb cat no matter how many times he paws me in the face at 5:30 AM. P.p.s. - Also, why does my cat believe in jumping up on my keyboard while I’m working? I’m starting to think it isn’t just political views, I think my cat may be a heretic. ---

I often wake up to my cat sitting next to be in bed, glaring at me. I am sure he is plotting my murder. Opposing political views would not phase me. ---

Your Cat already has a political view completely opposite of yours, and every other human you know. Were your cat 600 pounds, you would clearly know your Cat’s point of view and would come to realise there are only 3 words for you in it’s language. Slave Toy and Food, which Toy may become at any time. All other trivial aspects of it’s political views would of course, be meaningless. At least to humans… ---

I’ve always treated my cat as though he were a dog. He pretty much acts like a dog - you know, except for the purring and the hairballs and shit - so I think I’ve successfully brainwashed him toward my political views as well. I won’t be had by a feline. Especially not one named Morty. ---

It’s because you have opposing political views. One traitorous villain down, 150,000,000 to go… My cats made it clear they have opposing political views. I put them outside and told them to see how well competition in the health care marketplace served them when the coyotes started coming around. So far, they’re sticking pretty close to the house. Nobody ponied up for one of those new “skinny” insurance policies yet, either. ---

Perhaps your cat considers your face and desk a disputed border region and is conducting late night stealth raids to weaken your resolve. Territory disputes can be difficult to resolve - just look at Kashmir. I think you should try whatever you can to establish your face as a demilitarized zone though. ---
