All of my uncles on both sides of the family, as well as grandfathers, were/are bald. I knew what cards I was dealt early on and never tried to fight it at all. I keep the remaining follicles short, and apply sunblock to my scalp, as well as always wear hats. And since I am married, there is no need to try to impress anyone any more. ---

I’d shave my head completely and grow a long beard. My girlfriend never would let me do that before, but now, she wouldn’t be able to argue. 😃 ---

I think hair transplant surgery such a nice procedure that read in all article that publish on internet i got useful information about hair transplant its a great technique that can bring back loss hair permanently. my friend he had major baldness issue and after the hair transplant surgery he got loss hair back in few days. so i think it is a fantastic cure for hair loss problem. ---

I haven’t bothered to do anything about my hair going gray, even though I’d probably look 10 years younger if it were only a little bit gray rather than mostly gray. So my guess is that if I went bald, I’d just shrug my shoulders and do nothing about that either. ---

OK – a zombie – but I’m just going with it. Mine is caused by a couple of my medications and less hair is higher rated to me than another round of “side effects roulette”. That and I’ve always worn hats anyway. So its basically I don’t care. ---

I remember about 12 years ago being on an interview panel for a candidate for one of our senior financial roles. This guy must have interviewed way better over the phone, as he was not very impressive in person and no where close to a fit culturally for our company. Aside from all of that, he had one of the worst toupee’s I had seen. So when we gather for the candidate review meeting, the first thing my boss says is, “Can we all agree that when we go bald, that we just go bald!” I have a lot of good friends and co-workers that are bald. No one thinks less of someone because they are follicly challenged. There’s nothing they can do about it. But, I have yet to see any type of attempted correction: comb-over, toupee, hair restoration surgery, etc. that looks half way decent. You’re not fooling anyone. ---

I’m nearing 50 and I, admittedly, have less hair (at least on top of my head, yuk, yuk) than I used to. The ONLY thing I’ve tried in an effort to combat time and my own genetics is something called Nioxin® shampoo. If you feel that you’re losing some hair and you haven’t tried Nioxin® yet let me tell you - that stuff SUCKS. TWICE I got suckered into buying some of it (and it AIN’T cheap) and TWICE I found that it did absolutely NOTHING for me (except lighten my wallet more than I would’ve liked). When upon buying it the second time I kept being told that I needed to also buy: pills, conditioner, spray, and God knows what else, I finally realized that I’d been scammed (I’ve also noticed that the place I go get my hair cut isn’t pushing that product anymore. In fact, I don’t even SEE it anymore when I go there). So now I just deal with the fact that I’m not 20 years old anymore and let nature take its course (at least I wasn’t like those poor souls who show SERIOUS signs of impending baldness by the time they hit their 20s - :eek:). ---

I’m a woman, and I have really thick hair, with no female baldness on either side of my family, so voted “other,” because I’d go to he doctor and see if there was a reason, like hypothyroidism, that I was losing my hair. Hair loss in a woman is likely to be a symptom of something, especially if it’s sudden. However, if I were a man experiencing normal male hair loss, I’d just cut it short and buy a flattering hat. It’s true that I don’t know too many women who say baldness is their first choice in men’s hairstyles (albeit, many women think some particular bald men look really sexy), but women _do not make fun of baldness_. They do, however, make fun mercilessly of comb-overs and toups, and any obvious restoration, like a weave or surgery, where a guy with thinning hair shows up one day with a thick mane. I’ve heard that hair restoration medications can be really toxic to cats. I’d hate to have my cat get sick from sleeping on my pillow, and I’m not getting rid of my cats just so I can rub Rogaine on my head every day. ---
