I’d make sure she’s doing it of her own free will, that it isn’t because she has no other options, then I’d let her be. It’s her life to live it as she wants. ---

Well I wouldn’t be all enlightened and “whatever floats her boat” about it, I can tell you that. No one ever does porn for anything other than extremely unhealthy reasons, so I would be very upset and worried about her. ETA: I mean commercial porn. Not homemade stuff that isn’t meant to be distributed. ---

I would figure out how to pay for her grad school myself. I’d be deeply disappointed and upset if either of my daughters did porn ( **Blackberry** and I can just burn our Doper cards together), just as I would if either of them became a prostitute, and it’s got nothing to do with “slut-shaming” or discomfort with female sexuality. I just don’t see how either profession could be anything but soul-killing for them, and they have so many other talents and skills they could put to better use. ---

If a woman becomes a sex worker as a result of being sexually abused as a child, one could say that’s a healthy way to reclaim your sexuality or something.
