He admitted to his prank after hearing what happened; he’d been waiting for you to discover it while on a trip and get confused. Second solution: As mentioned above, whichever one of you goes to a laundromat or apartment communal laundry says, “Whoops, I guess that was stuck in the dryer from a previous person’s load.” ---

The idea that someone would break in and leave his undies behind is bizarre. The idea to call the cops to deal with a resident having “unapproved” company is ridiculous to the extreme. I can’t imagine any way that police involvement is going to do anyone any good, unless they tell your pop that he’s being silly and he actually listens to them. See if **Ferret Herder’s** suggestion (post #21) will defuse the situation. I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with this sort of thing. I’m just sitting here shaking my head. ---

I would say a friend had too much to drink and spent the night, and left their clothes in my dryer on accident (which they had to wash, because they had vomited on themselves). Or nothing at all, depending on the “need to know” level of the person I was discussing it with. On the rare occasion my mom visits, I can’t imagine her even noticing underwear in my home, that’s a Really Weird Thing. If you’re still living with your dad and he’s this weird, move out. ---

This is what happens when you leave your belongings unattended, even for a moment. You’ve obviously been the victim of an act of terror but are in denial. Only your dad reacted appropriately. This is not something that should be left to the local police: Homeland Security should be notified to safeguard the rest of the nation. ---

Details trigger more biased responses. I like to get a few responses in before I provide lots of details. And there’s details about myself, I always leave out. Like what I really went to college for, my age (which I did accidentally reveal long time ago). And I know for sure I never have mentioned my race, so Eyebrows of Doom’s post was kind of strange. ---

A while ago in a post of yours about dating you said something similar to what you said just now. Someone pointed out that if you do a search on the email address that’s in your public profile your profile on a networking site comes up. That is how some of us know more than what you’ve explicitly said on here. Anyway, back to underwear- unless I knew exactly who it belonged to I’d throw it in the trash. ---
