Spike Milligan finally got what he wanted on his gravestone, by the way (“I told you I was ill”, not sick, he wasn’t American) but the diocese wouldn’t let them write it in English so it’s in Irish: “Duirt me leat go raibh me breoite”. ---

Whenever the topic of burial comes up and someone says “Oh, I’ll be dead so who cares? Just dump me in a ditch”, I like to go the opposite route. I want a giant gold plated statue of an angel with flaming gas jets for eyes who bellows forth… _Within this ground lies Jophiel Look upon it and anguish! [First and foremost, I want this statue on it.](http://www.roundtree7.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/weeping-angel.jpg) Unfortunately, all the cemetaries around here are flat-stones-only-no-statues, so I don’t know if that’s possible. Other than that… Husband has said he wants his grave to say “REPENT!”, so I said that mine next to his would have to say “Unrepentant.” When Husband’s aunt died, they had a photograph of her set into the gravestone, [kinda like this,](http://www.kristeninlondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/photoshop-grave.jpg) but using a glamour shot she had taken just a year or so before she passed (she died in her 40’s). I joked that I’d like to have one of those too, but regardless of how old I was when I died, they should use my high school photo. That way people will look at it, see that I was 110 when I passed, and admire how goodlooking I was for my age! ---
