The Stewart’s drive-in chain is big in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Throughout the rest of the country they sell their branded soft drinks and hot dogs. Great food and drinks.

I know that most people want to get their food and simply go home to eat it afterward. I also like Sonic (although the nearest one is about 60 miles from me) but I never ate in my car there. I always took it home.
That always bothered me. Isn’t having teenagers on roller skates carrying trays of food just begging for a liability lawsuit?
What I have seen most often is the rollers doing hospitality duties. IOW, DO you need more ketchup? Would you like a mint? How is your meal? etc…
Throughout upstate New York, there’s quite a few independent hot dog stand and custard-type places that are only open during the summer. Most lack indoor seating; customers order and pick up their food from a counter, and eat on benches or in cars.
Didn’t the food get cold by the time you got home?
The price you pay if you want to play.
Naah…I usually eat while I’m driving. Or I buy extra and microwave what can be microwaved when I get home.
