The funeral home my dad used to work at had a fallout shelter – since they just used it for storage, I can imagine it would probably keep the corpses pretty well preserved.
A friend bought a house with a bomb shelter. The entryway leading down into it had a sharp turn in it because gamma rays couldn’t turn corners.
There used to be a place near my city that made cast concrete storm shelters.
They’d dig a hole and set it in.
There’s been times I’ve been squatting down in the hallway wishing I had one of those shelters. Tornado’s scare the crap out of me. A friend of mine got picked up and slung across a warehouse before he grabbed on to something.
