She was one of the prettiest Hollywood actresses of the 1930’s, and also hard-working; she made _King Kong_ and _The Most Dangerous Game_ at the same time, running through the same jungle sets for both movies. She also gave a good comic turn as a seriously dumb blonde in _The Affairs of Cellini_. ---

Our line for “as it clung to her thigh” was “like a homesick abortion!” which was guaranteed to gross out even the most jaded of movie-goers. Remember a few years ago when Billy Crystal hauled her out of her seat at the Oscars? She looked really scared and confused and I felt so bad for her. ---
