Were they a hoax? I remember this being really big news for a while- the state of Nevada wanted to have this guys ass for violating various laws and I think he was getting sued too. What ever happened to him? ---

Oh my goodness. I have no idea. But as woman, who is occasionally naked and has played paintball (although not naked) can I just say OUCH!? Seriously. Those things leave welts and big, big bruises. ---

Well, I know the whole thing caused a bunch of women’s groups to have a huge uproar. But the more I think about it, the more it sounds like a part of his plan all along just to sell videos. There is already a pretty big market saturation of naked women acting drunk and stupid “Girls gone wild” so this guy had to find something to sell his vidoes. He thinks up a really controversial premise with a lot of shock value, then gets a TON of free publicity when news channels are airing footage (abieit blurred out) of his videos! :eek: ---

On what basis could he have been sued? Even in these litigious times I can’t think of what he could be sued for. ---

And why on Earth did he \*need \*to fake such videos? I’ve seen the Girls Gone Wild tapes. Enough rum ‘n’ cokes and you can get young women to do just about anything for a camera. Not that this is a good thing - but I can’t believe he couldn’t talk 10 girls into playing paintball naked. (Although I stand by my previous OUCH!) ---

Well the premise was that ‘sprotsmen’ were paying to actually ‘hunt’ bambi, when in reality it was all scripted. I don’t know if the actual firing of paintballs was real or not, I didn’t see that much of the videos. You can dial down the speed at which the paintballs are fired, though it will still sting some. ---

To clarify: The hoax part was that you could actually pay money to shoot paintballs at naked women. Supposedly, the woman would get paid $1000 if she could run through the desert naked, grab a flag, and run back (or something like that) without getting hit. So that was the fake part. The videos were also probably carefully staged because the footage I saw had the women wearing no protective gear- not even masks/goggles. So I guess they just had some guys carefully pegging the woman in the butt with low-velocity guns while she was jogging, and meticulously edited everything together to make it look like they were actually ‘hunting’ her. :dubious:
