That would be Nigel Planer (better known to some as Neil, from The Young Ones). I haven’t heard that particular book, but I’ve liked his reading of a couple of others I’ve heard, especially his voice for Death. I also like what I’ve heard by Stephen Briggs, who’s been doing the more recent Discworld audio books.

Didn’t know he was Neil :smack:
I think the problem is the Wizard voices. Now I’ve listened a bit more, it’s growing on me (though I did fall asleep 'coz I had it on during my nap this afternoon). But it seems like doing the Wizard voices brings out this really overblown sort of boom to his voice, and with some of the voices it’s… I dunno. Hard to explain. Not what I thought they’d sound like, so it’s at odds with my expectations.
Though I do like the way he does Ponder Stibbons’ voice. I’d just prefer Tony Robinson, I know what his reading voices are like from an old kid’s show he used to do where he’d read stories and do the voices for them, and that was great.
