I have a 2 axle horse trailer and man you need to practice with those things. I know some horse ladies who can put those suckers within a half inch of where they need to go, without any hesitation. I can only aspire … and practice. ---

Reconnected and launched his boat without backing up. reminds me when I did a lot of 4x4 driving, I designed a winch system (winch on a heavy plate that would lock onto the front **or** rear bumper) … to be able to winch into both directions … and honestly, a winch in the rear is more relevant than a winch in the front, as it should get you out of trouble instead of deeper into trouble 😉 ---

Anybody remember the **Wellerman** sea shanty that was a minor meme sensation during the Covid lockdown? It was about the [Weller Brothers whaling company](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wellerman), based in the city of Dunedin, New Zealand, where I grew up, and where the Weller family arrived, and married into the local Ellison family. I am closely related to the Ellison family, which means I am related to the Wellers and directly connected to this song. All the English longbow flight distance records were shot by bows that I had built for the archers. For any on you that watch the discovery channel I also built the giant bow that powered a catapult on the series called " Doing DaVince" ---

I was born with a bit of cartilage in one ear folded over. It has never straightened out, so my left ear is a bit pointy at the top. I tell people I’m Half-Elven. Also, I’m the only one I know who has pulled someone from the path of a speeding car. ---

The key thing to remember is that you have to correct the instant you deviate. An inch too far and doom ensues. I know it can be done because with my last trailer I had to back it into this extremely narrow slot between two other trailers and I did it all the time but now I’m out of practice. ---

Very cool. I’ve a recurve that I have not shot in years. A target bow really. Testing it once when I was a kid, It penetrated 1/2" of plywood. Not something to fool with. ---

I may have told this before: for years my claim to fame was that I honked the horn on the monorail at the New York World’s Fair. Recent research leads me to believe that there was no horn button in the nose and it was a false memory, so now I got nothing and my life is meaningless.
