What's a 'normal' amount of bacon?

There aren’t many foods that are worse for you than bacon. It’s basically greasy, artery clogging strips of fat mixed in with some meat, yet they want to put it on everything; burgers, wrapped around jalapeno poppers, crumbled up on baked potatoes, crumbled up on salads, etc, etc. So, “enough” bacon is probably none, or a breakfast side on rare occasions.

Besides, a side order of ham is much healthier and tastes just as good.

That’s just crazy talk.

I, too, have wondered about the definition of “rasher”.

That is, indeed, crazy talk. Ham’s o.k., but just o.k. Bacon is awesome!

It seems it started out as one measly strip, but has since then been inflated to two, or even three.

Heh. Must look like a mammogram…

I usually cut a pound of bacon in half vertically and cook one side at a sitting. Or, I cut up the half pound into even smaller pieces and cook them together with eggs, so I get a nice melange fried in lovely bacon grease. Any leftover grease goes to cook pancakes.

Bacon grease, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! :o
