# What's Chuck Berry up to these days?

Seeing another thread that mentioned Chuck Berry prompted me to wonder about this. I haven’t heard anything about him for several years, except that I heard he was in some kind of trouble about drugs (!). From all I ever heard he’s straighter than Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman, but you never know. Was he actually in trouble, and if so, what eventually happened.

Chuck Berry, who’s now 72 years old, lives about 12 miles west of St. Louis. He performed last Thursday night at the opening of The Pageant, a new music club just inside the city limits on Delmar. Folks who were there said it rocked.

Any and all past legal problems are over, although he still almost never talks to the press, which may be why you haven’t heard about him. 🙂

I saw him in concert a year ago, July, along with Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis. FTR, they couldn’t rock _as_ hard as they used to, but it was still a very enjoyable experience. 🙂

Last I heard he was in trouble for putting hidden cameras in the ladies rooms of his businesses (resturaunts maybe?).
