That could almost be the living room of the Casa Di’Chi.

Look down at the bottom, along the beach.

The dog appears to be barking at some type of amphibious creature crawling out of the surf. Or maybe it’s just Babs taking a swim; hard to tell them apart…

The joke is that the guy living in the mansion on the left doesn’t realize that his wife is having an affair with the poolboy at the mansion in the middle, while at the same time his _wife_ doesn’t realize that he is _also_ having an affair with said poolboy…

Being unfamiliar with the geology of that coastline, it looks to me as if the side of that cliff is dropping off in good-sized chunks all along the beach. One of those structures also appears to be one good heavy rain from pitching over the edge, too.

In our part of the world there are frequent signs proclaiming “Watch for Falling Rock.” Looks like a few of them might be good adornment on that beach.

Can anybody figure what that area with the red tape is all about? Is that a circus going up? New construction? A crime scene?

I think that drain pipe may be part of some hidden message, too, **pravnik**.

I found it hilarious as well. Unfortunately my sister did not.

Be sure to check the recipients irony meter before sending links. You think they would be used to my sense of humor by now. I mean, they saw me spend how many hours watching Monty Python and Blackadder growing up … if you don’t it like, fine, but, jeesh, don’t tear my head off. Eh. C’est la vie.

Being from there, I didn’t find anything funny about the photo. People build their houses there, and every year houses fall into the ocean. It’s just normal, not amusing. (Except it’s a little amusing that people re-build their houses in the same place so that they can be washed into the ocean again.)

Thanks for clarifying. Another thing in that picture that’s in so many neighborhoods that border the sea is how almost every house has a pool. I have never quite understood why one would want waterfront property and still prefer the ordeal of a pool. A shower near the beach would get the salt and sand off okay and you wouldn’t have to deal with chlorine, scooping leaves, tarps for cover and all that.

A friend of mine went to Hawaii last year. He was amazed at the people who paid big bucks for a beachfront hotel, and then spent their time in the hotel’s swimming pool with the beach and the ocean only steps away.

As for the people who own the houses in the photo: I think they might have the same attitude as the people in Hawaii who used the pool instead of the beach. But to give them the benefit of the doubt, it’s a long way down from their back yards to the beach.

Worthy retort! I certainly wouldn’t be wanting to have to rappel down for a little dip and then have to climb back up with pitons and such. I can picture Babs doing that and _that_ **IS** funny. 😃

But have you any idea how awesome an [infinity pool](http://phoenix.about.com/library/blpooltypes11.htm) would look on that cliff?

Those are kayaks. They work fine without waves. 🙂

I’ll stick with the Streisand theory for this one. There’s nothing inherently funny in the picture itself. A vagina? When’s the last time you saw one up close? 🙂

I just saw this, so forgive me for posting to a week old thread. But it looks like there’s a dirt road going through the middle of the area. (upper third of the photo, most of the way across) Upper class area with a dirt road strikes me as funny. Of course, I may just be seeing things that aren’t there.
