Nothing – I find such things annoying (in addition to distracting) (although in the past I’ve had to have parking passes hanging there for various places I’ve worked. But they generally didn’t swing much) ---

A pewter crucifix that a friend gave me when I was 16. That friend, about 6 years later, was hit by a speeding car and spent months in a coma. He came out of the coma, recovered, and long story short is fine now. The day I brought home by first (and so far only) vehicle - I just learned how to drive at 36 years old - I hung that crucifix on my rearview mirror and said a prayer for it to keep me safe. (I know “it” isn’t able to keep me safe, what I mean is that I will always be attentive and safe when driving.) ---

Sometimes I put the little air freshener leaves on there for purely practical purposes. I think anything that is there solely for decoration looks incredibly tacky. ---

Nothing, when I park I hang my handicap sign, It says right on it do not hang while driving but I see them all the time. There was a study once that showed how a pack of cigs sitting in your window could make you not see someone crossing in front of you why does anyone risk it at all? not just stupid but dangerous. ---

A couple of those air freshener tree things (it used to be a barn truck…:D) and up until a few months ago, my old parking pass for the garage in Anchorage. I barely notice them, Can’t see how they’d be distracting. ---
