What's hanging from your rear-view mirror ??

My wife’s lanyard with her work badge.

Nothing. Ever.

AHHHHHH! Love.

My answer: my graduate school tassel.

Nothing because it’s illegal and my wind sheild is small enough!

I do have about thirty different lucky charms hanging from the air vent. I like their history and the thought a tiny bell or blue bead will help amuses me. Plus they’re pretty.

Nothing.

My boyfriend’s parking tag.

On second look at my link, that was for a BIG 8 inch soot sprite.

The smaller, 2 inch one I have is here (for the same price - weird)

A pair of purple fuzzy dice - a gift from the director of our community theater production of ‘Guys & Dolls’ last year - and a small blue and gold glass starfish on a chain, cuz i’m a scuba diver and starfish are cool.

(fezzes are not)

My parking pass, a small plastic shark, and a small Maneki Neko.

Nothing, here in my middle-age. In my teens and 20’s though? Lookout…

I started with the standard bandanna tied in a loop, which acted as a seat for a stuffed Opus the Penguin. I had a rule – the second time you were a passenger in my car, you had to contribute something to the hanging collection. By the time that car was junked (from too many accidents…hmmmm, wonder if there was anything distracting me?), that thing took up as much room as if I had mid-size pre-teen hanging there.

An air freshener (the car used to be my Dad’s and it sometimes still smells like White Castle) and a dog-tag kind of thing with my hockey team’s logo on it.

Nothing.

Just my parking pass.

A small, round picture of my boys (think key chain), and a collar and tags from my dog who died a few years back.

lanyard with work badge as well. If I didn’t I’d forget it constantly.

Nothing…it’s illegal where I live (falls under “obstructed vision”) and I don’t like having things swinging around in my field of vision while I’m driving anyway.

I do have a little wooden giraffe and a tiny plastic fox that ride on the plastic trim ledge under my instrument panel though.

Nothing.

A parking pass and a pair of earplugs on a cord.

A very ugly and mismatched bead bracelet my son made me in school.

A Turkish good luck charm given to me by a friend, made of beads like this . Supposed to guard against the evil eye.

I never wanted anything hanging from my mirror for fear that it would obstruct my vision, but when I hung my evil eye repellent object I found that it really didn’t get in the way at all.
