# What's in blisters?

You know, the type you get on your hand/feet after rubbing them excessively, the ones that look like bubbles. Exactly why are blisters formed because of excess rubbing, if it’s meant to be a cushion, it doesn’t seem to work very well since they hurt! Also, if you pop a blister, will it get infected and what are in the ‘bubbles?’
