The bag I have with me right now is a teeny tiny shoulder bag, so all it’s holding is: A $10 note. Around $3 in random change. A silver necklace. A Rocky Horror button. A reciept from 78 Records. A picture of George Harrison in his Beatle days that someone gave to me yesterday. Watermelon pencil shaped lip gloss. Blistix. A mix tape that I made for my boyfriend. ---

Mine’s different. I put this together specifically so I’d have everything I’d ever need in an emergency, and keep it with me (or at least in the car) at all times. It’s a big stiff-sided nylon briefcase. I recently had to downsize. It was just getting to be too much, and my bags were getting bigger and bigger. Now, I carry: credit cards check books drivers licence insurance cards pens various receipts phone and address book and the most recent addition… Star Wars Tickets!!! ---

I tend to carry around a LOT of stuff in my bag, so here goes! Well, I just cleaned mine out, so this is what I had in there: three 12-packs of gum (no, my breath isn’t that stinky, but you never know) 3 CDs (_Rufus Wainwright_, _Led Zeppelin III_, and _The Edges of Twilight_ by the Tea Party) a notebook pens my watch wallet with a bunch of cards, receipts, and money in it keys for the apartment and my brother’s house (in case I decide to invade my brother’s on the spur of the momemt) three library books that I just borrowed a birthday card for my dad (so his birthday’s not till July; I like to be prepared) a Father’s Day card (just in case I forget later on…) a birthday card for my friend (his birthday is a couple days from now) bubble bath from the dollar store a couple bags of chips (in case I got hungry) some candy some Minute Maid[sup]TM[/sup] apple juice bus pass ATM card library cards a book I just got from the bookstore some reading material from home for the bus ride ( **Anne of the Island** by Lucy Maud Montgomery) some yogurt a binder full of papers a pencil case Whew… am I ever glad I claened it out! No wonder my friend used to call it my “bowling bag”… he meant that I could stash a whole bowling kit (balls, pins, etc.) in there, I think. Let’s not get into the time he was joking around about bringing a scale to church and weighing the bag, then seeing if there were any seasonal variations in weight. (was it heavier in summer or winter?) Then there was the time he wanted to glue a set of encyclopedias to it… no thanks! :rolleyes: My siblings call my bag “the body bag”… I think the derivation of **that** one is that I could carry around a dead body in there, and nobody would notice! Riiiiight… ---
