I don’t do any long distance driving much anymore, and my missus uses the car as a commmuter mostly. I only see it once or twice a week, so: The spare wheel, factory-supplied crappy jack, etc. Half a case of bottled water. I think that’s it. Maybe an old train ticket or two. ---

Much the same as **TheLoadedDog** , my boot holds a spare tyre and the jack that came with the car…oh and a towel (for those fogged up windows moments). No fear of snow here, I am glad of that. Seems you have to carry about alot of shit when in a snow prone place! ---

Well, speaking personally, i may carry a lot of crap in the car, but i’ve never needed to use it, however, with murphy’s law being what it is, as soon as i removed the stuff from the car, i’d need it, i’d rather have it and not need it than vice-versa… ---

Well since my place is sadly a 10x10 studio I have converted my trunk in to a shoe storage. It’s filled with about 30 or so pairs of shoes! Gotta keep them somewhere, definitely can’t throw any out. 😃 ---

Several bottles of engine oil, a box or two of old records from a business I manage, a snow shovel, a quilt, a baseball mitt, a “Happy Birthday” sign (never used), a spotlight that runs off the cigarette lighter, several bungee cords, several towels. ---

We have a Volvo (a relatively recent make, I think) and… _racks brains_ …an ice scraper, a bungee cord, a can of anti-freeze, some matting, and a couple of loose Kleenex. ---

The Emergency Road Kit the dealer left in there by mistake that he was supposed to charge me for. Golf clubs, because you just never know. Three pairs of old golf socks that I always remember to bring but never remember to take out of the trunk The neighbors cat that I don’t have the heart to tell him I hit. I’ll probably toss him over the fence tonight, because the cat is starting to outsmell the socks. ---

I have a pair of manky old slippers that I wear for driving, then when I get somewhere, I change into my good shoes. I think I have a jack and a spare tire in the trunk. My plan for roadside emergencies is to put on the extra pair of black pantyhose I keep in the glove compartment and a pair of high heeled shoes, then stand next to the car and cry, wiping my eyes with the hem of my skirt. ---

Minivan - the back of which is cluttered with: - My rollerblades and protective gear - An ice scraper - My spare tire (due to recent mishap requiring replacement of a regular tire) - The tire jack - A large box of first-aid supplies - A fabric thingy that holds tools etc. and is supposed to fasten to the back of a seat but the fabric fasteners broke - A small box of tools (screwdriver etc.) - A small piece of plywood in case tire must be changed on soft surface - A small doormat to protect clothing during tire change - Two sets of collapsible reflective triangles - Some dry cleaning - Some plastic grocery bags for recycling - A pair of strap-on shoe cleats for walking in icy weather - A bagful of supplies for my daughter’s Brownie troop - A car vacuum (dustbuster style) And heaven knows what else. Large car, plus slob tendencies, contribute to the back of my car being a Scary Place :eek: which must not be visited too often. ---

Flashlight (12-volt) 12. Worklight on 15 ft cord (110 volt) 13. First aid kit. 14. Spare disposable camera (never know when you’ll need a pic) 15. Work gloves. 16. Shop towels. 17. Come-along (winch strap). 18. 6 gallons of spare gasoline (this is removed if I run the genny) 19. Fair sized collection of fusible links (in various amps) 20. Spare 12-volt bulbs (for taillights, etc.) I probably need counseling… ---
