Max Torque- Corky and the Juice Pigs? Way cool!

Anyways; I don’t have a CD player hooked up anywhere, so I’ll just go with the five cassettes I try to keep on hand in my car…

Stunt- Bare Naked Ladies
Running With Scissors- ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic
Apollo 18- They Might Be Giants
In The Mood- Glenn Miller
Louis Armstrong’s Greatest Hits

Eclectic? Me? Oh, _never_…

I also have a one-disc changer, and there’s nothing in it right now. The last thing I listened to was “Looney Runes” by Current 93.

Pretty Hate Machine is one of the best albums ever! I also have stuff in my changer that requires minimal manual attention. They are
KORN-_Follow the Leader_
KORN-_issues_
R.A.T.M.-_bulls on parade_
MTV _amp_
Chant II
The cool thing is, that I have had the amp CD for like 3 years and it has Rockefeller Skank _and_ Battleflag. These songs are exceedingly popular right now, and they are OLD. \<polishing nails on shirt\> I guess I am ahead of my time… 😉

Listened to on the bus home: Tom Waits, _Mule Variations_

In the 6-CD changer across the room: basically the complete They Might Be Giants (_Then_ to _Severe Tire Damage_. Don’t get to listen to that a whole lot (mostly get to play music when the kid’s sleeping, which means headphones from the computer).

In the CD-ROM player on this here very computer: Shannon Worrell, _Three Wishes_ (probably the most obscure thing I own, but it was there yesterday, so I don’t think it means I’m trying to one-up anyone – and, besides, it’s got some great tunes)

Point is, each new tech: sounds better/is more convienient/tastes better/is less filling/whatever … than the last, you do your best to keep up. For the record, I still own a couple hundred vinyl LPs and an awesome collection of cassettes. And I still own the hardware to play all of them on, can listen to them anytime I want - so there.

Oh, yeah, well :p, to you.

I had some young bitch (well, I shouldn’t call her that, I really do like her a lot) at work say to me the other day, “you have _records_, honest to goodness, real records? Wow, I think my Mom has some of those.” It took every ounce of energy in my body not to smack her.
