Mad Caddies - Just One More I’m a huge Caddies fan- there’s something about the way they cheerfully blend traditionally separate genres that I really dig. No other band, to my knowledge, has successfully fused ska, punk, dixieland, and ragtime in a single song (“Villains,” which you can [download here](http://www.fatwreck.com/empee/50152.mp3)), and certainly not with such wild abandon. Their horn section is also among the best I’ve heard in rock music. ---

In my CD player _right_ at this moment… **The Muswell Hillbillies** by the Kinks. IMHO their best album. In my CD player nearly all the time… **Left, Love and Leaving** by the Detroit Cobras. Kickass garage rock covers of some great motown songs by this female fronted band. ---

You know, I’ve argued to more than one person that Never Mind the Bollocks is about the best rock album ever. In my computer CD player now: Sibelius - Complete Symphonies #2 (3, 6, 7, Violin Concerto, etc.). About as far from the Sex Pistols as you can get… ---

Any similar bands I should check out? \*\* Green Carnation, who did an album called _Light of Day, Day of Darkness_ which I think might be right up your alley. You could also check out my personal favorite band, Opeth. Check out their CDs Still Life, Blackwater Park, Deliverance, and Damnation (when it comes out in about a month). Enjoy! ---
