A bottle of anything never last long enough to have another bottle of something else next to it. Also, they never make it to the cabinet. i just leave it on the counter. But curently there is a bottle of Smirnof someone left from Easter that I will probably finish off tonight. ---

Just bought Laphroig 10 year and Baker’s 7. They’re not technically “in my cabinet” since I bought them for some friends who are putting me and two friends up for a weekend festival. I’m almost looking forward to the whiskey more than the other events. ---

We just moved a few months ago, so the liquor cabinet is low. But just now I saw: Tullamore Dew Elijah Craig Jameson Black Barrel Bacardi Silver Wild Turkey 101 Ketel One Evan Williams Bonded 4 Roses Small Batch Old Granddad Bonded Evan Williams Single Barrel Flor de Cana Anejo Flor de Cana Grand Reserva Pyrat Elijah Craig Small Batch Sauza Silver Green Spot B&B Rittenhouse Rye Bonded Beam Devil’s Cut Tito’s Redbreast Lustau Dickel 8 Jameson Don Julio Reposado Bombay Sapphire Christian Bros. sherry Old Rip Van Winkle 10 That’s in the cabinet, and some of them are either multiples or handles. Still boxed are about a dozen single-malt Scotches and a handful or cognac/armagnacs. Plus the wine rack and all the beer, of course. ---

It’s a closet, not a cabinet, I call it the ATF closet. (ATF= Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) From memory: Kahlua Barrett’s whipped cream flavor vodka a chocolate whipped cream flavor vodka a hazelnut liqueur Korbel champagne (waiting for enough of an event) Taaka vodka Disaranno an orange flavor vodka ( a grave mistake, I fear) Cherry Pucker Cruzan Banana Rum a homebrewed blackberry wine from a patient 10+ bottles of wine ---

(My in-laws live in Taiwan and use up their personal allowances bringing me Kavalan whenever they visit. This works for me.) ---

I inherited the liquor cabinet from my parents. I don’t drink, and neither did they, so whatever’s in it is stuff other people gave them and was probably never opened. Like several decades old. ---

I hardly drink, but I do like it on occasion. Right now I just have: Some plum wine from Japan. A small bottle of Blackberry Mead. A bottle of Watling’s Rum from Nassau. And I just got a 50 year old bottle of scotch from a client to thank me for their gains. Not a bad day. ---

Three bottles of wine that were in my father’s wine rack when he died. Only for guests. I gave up drinking a few years ago. It’s a young man’s game and I had done more than my share of it. ---

Missed a couple. There’s also Templeton Rye, Bulliett Rye, Skyy vodka, several vermouths, a few bitters, some things like Cointreau, some peach schnapps and a bottle of some strange stuff I got from a fellow Doper in a shot glass exchange a while back. ---
