# Whats in your zoo?

In my mind, I own a million billion cats. In reality, I own one very fat one. Her name is Miss Kitty.

I had two dwarf albino hamsters recently, until one of them **ate** the other. Not something you like to walk in on (and clean up after) at 2am following a seven hour finals studying binge. :smack:

The hamsters used to be named Sturm & Drang. Now the remaining hamster has been rechristened Hannibal.

sigh.

I love animals very much, and have had pets before, but I have found that with my busy lifestyle, I prefer to enjoy other people’s pets rather than maintain my own. I would gladly play with or house-sit for someone else’s animals anytime. If I were to have my own pets, here are my realistic and unrealistic choices for my dream zoo:

Realistic:

1. a dog of any type, especially one type that is extremely intelligent and outgoing. I love collies and Irish setters, they have been very friendly to me, above and beyond what most dogs have been so far.
2. a cat that thinks it is a dog

Unrealistic (it would be extremely difficult to keep them in my community):

1. a herd of furry lambs
2. a group of playful goats
3. a little miniature pony
4. a wildabeast (I would be the only one around who had one)
5. a well-behaved monkey doing tricks

My wildest zoo was in the year 2000, when I had 6 noisy parakeets given to me as gifts. They made quite a mess of my apartment with their feathers flying and their smell. An eccentric boyfriend gave them to me, and I sold them back to the bird farm that they came from when we broke up. The old boyfriend was then nicknamed “Bird Boy” by my brother.
