# What's it mean "send pw through the links"?

What’s it mean “send pw through the links”?

This is a Profile Edit Option.

What can I do to just get the cookies I had before, turn that option on or off?

I want to be automatically signed in every time.

I think it means that the software will make it part of the URL (see the section after the “s=” in the URL when you click on an SDMB thread or post link.)

My recommendation is:  
set **Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies)** and **Browse board with cookies?** to yes.

When you are done using the SDMB, go back to the home page for the message board and log out (click on link at the bottom of the screen to log out.)
