This is my 1997th post. I’ve been posting since December 2002 and was up to a 6 posts per day average, but illnesses, studies, work and other trivial hassles have cut down my posting time and lowered my average, so I’m only now nearing the 2000th post mark. I missed my 1000th post party in the middle of a heated discussion, which annoyed me no end. What’s never been done before to celebrate such a momentous occasion? Trivia: Every time I wrote 2000 or 1000 in the above, I first wrote 200 or 100 and then had to go back and insert an extra zero. True story. ---

Are post count parties illegal or something? I didn’t do anything for my 2000th post. Scotticher started a party thread for my 1500th, but nothing after that. ---

Pesonally, for my 2000th, Cecil has already invited me to go with him on the SDMB company yacht to Aruba. It was either that, or use his timeshare condo in Gary, Indiana. ---

2000? Crap, I’ll settle for a free beer on my 200th post…or any other post for that matter…including this one!
