At one point, there was supposedly a rule against [misleading thread titles](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=496205&highlight=Euthanasiast)in the Pit, but [it turns out](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=496627&highlight=Euthanasiast)that just[meant](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=498081&highlight=Euthanasiast)"No Pitting Planned Parenthood" and the administrator who put it in place is no longer with us. At any rate, it doesn’t apply [today](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=751507). Regards, Shodan ---

There was nothing deliberately misleading about **Euthaniasiast** ’s thread title either, but he was warned for trolling (and suspended for violating a rule that had never existed up to that moment). As I mentioned, the rule really meant “Planned Parenthood shall not be criticized”. Now that the admin who made up the rule is gone, it probably no longer applies.
