It’s not too difficult if you think about it… in the very simplest case, you just need to store the background image, the foreground image (which the character can walk behind), and some collision data so you know where the player can and cannot go. The trickiest part would probably be figuring out a way to manage large maps without using an obscene amount of memory. ---

Let’s find out, shall we? FM: I think with Sin City, I want to go straight to book form for the foreseeable future. I think the only reason we’re still doing comics as 32-page pamphlets is because at one point we could sell for twelve cents. Now we’re selling them for three dollars to an adult audience, so why don’t we just give them the damn book? Hmmm…so _that’s_ what my roommate does on my computer. _G_ ---
