I suspect that Dopers as a class might be slightly more interested in gadgets and goodies, but there’s only one way to find out. Hometownboy’s is fairly prosaic with: 9 keys (7 door, 2 ignition) 1 bottle opener (don’t leave home without one - you never know when someone will offer you a beer) 1 keychain screwdriver (disc with four “ears,” to be used as screwdriver tips - all standard slot) What’s on yours? ---

A bunch o’ crap I don’t need! 😃 But here we go just for fun! my car alarm thingy + car key, hubby’s car key, 2 house keys, in-laws house key, M & D’s house key, pics of our kids, borders card, hancock card, Echter’s greenhouse card, Ace Hardware, King Soopers, Petsmart, Playa Del Carmen sea turtle key chain, Tinkerbell key chain, Pink Breast Cancer dog in honor of my Aunt who passed away in Dec. 06 from having it herself. ☹ That’s it! Oh but wait, a big pink clip to hold it all! 😃 ---

Several keys, a Lexis bottle opener (hey, they’ve kept me in keychain bottle openers for 5 years now) and a little Ganpati head my mom makes me carry around for good luck and divine intervention. ---

Key to my front door, key to my parents’ back door, car key, Leatherman Squirt (or Juice? It’s small and blue, and not the Micra,) and one of those “shines for eleventy-billion hours, can be seen from high-orbit” LED lights, that, after being one year old, seems to have about two hours of life left, and at best, could be seen from ten feet away. ---

I needed to giggles! They aren’t too heavy. But I bet if I needed to I could beat the crap out of someone who was trying to hurt me in anyway with my keys! 😛 Might leave a purdy mark on someones face! (heehee) 😃 ---

My keychain is pretty light since I toned it down a bit. House key Couple of diary keys Old fashioned looking key that I found on the ground Happy Bunny keychain (cute but psycho. things even out.) A little fob with a butterfly on one side and the word hope on the other Neck cord from my school (bright enough and long enough that I have a better chance of fishing everything out of the bottom of my purse) I used to have 3 or 4 more keychains, as well as a mock carabiner but it was too much to shove in my pocket as when in school I didn’t usually carry a purse. Now I do, but I’ve still kept it light. ---

-Housekey -Keys to my old apartment and room (I never gave them to the new tenant, but I don’t think it really matters since they never lock their doors and even if they did I have no intention of breaking in) -Bottle opener I used to have a nice little swiss army knife before it was confiscated in an airport. I should’ve had enough sense to stow it away in my luggage. ---

I used to have the greatest keychain fob. Had miniature notes from an African nation I lived once. You could fan them out and see all the colorful heros and symbos. But it was plastic and eventually splintered to pieces ☹ ---

Four keys, including house keys. A Lions Club emblem on rubber. A piece of metal I picked up from a $2 shop which has a well-known Kiwi word of exclamation, six-letters, starts with B, two Gs in the middle, ends with R. 🙂 The latter because the old coin I had previously broke away from its setting. The other keychain thing I have, a metal model of a locomotive, is too cool and precious to be clanking around in my pocket with the keys. ---

My house key. My parents’ house key. My inlaws’ house keys. My P.O. box key. The key for the lock for my son’s baby carriage. Three unidentified keys (I should look into that). Car keys including remote entry, two different house keys, an old Air Force…uh…keychain thing (doesn’t serve a practical purpose), the rewards card from my work, an old key to God knows what (maybe to my old lockable storage thing I used in the dorm), a thing from a congregation I belonged to in Arizona so that nobody would try to do Christian rituals at my deathbed (hey, you never know…I don’t consider myself Jewish anymore either, so having that thing on my keychain may not be much use); and a whistle in case a football game breaks out (seriously…happened to stumble upon it while unpacking old stuff). One of my favorite keychain tchotchkes was the little miniature keychain pen I got from the Ministry of Students in Tel Aviv. That thing was freakin’ sweet, really handy, and a great conversation starter, believe it or not. ---

Mine’s pretty boring too. - Apartment key - Back door building key (for whenever I approach the building from that direction or get dropped off in the parking lot by my mom.) - mailbox key - Office key - now almost useless except as a backup for when I forget my RFID nametag thing for work. ---
