To all you people reporting that you have respectable/cool songs/artists currently playing in your mental jukebox, I say BULLSHIZZ! You know you all have shite like “Car Wash” by Rose Royce or “Mama Mia” by Abba or that Grease medley or “That’s the Way I Like It” by KC and the Sunshine Band running on a mental loop right now. Me? I’m currently cursed with “Funky Town.” And of course it’s not the _whole_ song; I don’t even know the _whole_ song. It’s just “Won’t you take me to-- _funky tooown_. Won’t you take me to-- _funky tooown_.” Over and over and over and over and over again. Those two lines. Tha’s it. Over and over and over and over again. Sure I could’ve waited to respond to this thread until I had something cool like Led Zeppelin’s “The Lemon Song” or “Sunday Morning Coming Down” by Johnny Cash running through my head. Or I could’ve just ignored the current abomination flowing between my ears and said Frank Zappa or Marvin Gaye. And maybe I too would’ve earned a few “cool” points with my fellow dopers. But no, I play the game honestly and fairly! Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go bash the gosh darned demons known as Lipps Inc. out of my head with a ball-peen hammer. ---

I’ve got my porn tune stuck in my head. My porn tune is a song I am working on. It got it’s name because I played the intro riff for a friend (through a wah) and his first comment was ‘Man, that sounds like porn’. So for the time being it is the porn tune, though I think the actual name migh be ‘Play This While Your Fucking’ or PTWYF. I \*might \* decide on going for the subtle route and name it something else. The bummer about writing music is that I get my own stuff stuck in my head sometimes and that can lead to getting either sick of my own song or getting stuck in the writing process… Hopefully I’ll get the song done this weekend and get it posted.
