What's so great about New York, anyway?

Funfax? :dubious:

Broadway.

MOMA.

Nobu. (and Little Yokohama, because I’m not made of money).

Finding a statue of Samuel Morse in Central Park, and then spending a day in the Conservatory Garden.

Chimis from a sidewalk cart in Washington Heights. (Hey, I married a Dominican; whaddya want?)

I like NYC because it keeps faldureon in RandomPutdownThatNoOneElseGetsTown.

First of all you need to not be so uptight about people badmouthing no one in particular. Secondly, I think you get my point about going to a city with the best restaurants in the world and choosing to eat at a place you can find in any shopping mall parking lot in the country.

And, you miss my point that people go to those restaurants for exactly that reason.

Well obviously you have to know where to go for the town to live up to its nickname.

You are correct. I visited NYC exactly once and what I saw has kept me away from there to this day (and yes while barhopping I did stop by that Fridays).
