Oh, MAN!!! I wanted to watch the entire inaugural parade. Yeh, I’m masochistic like that, and besides, if Barack and Michelle could stick it out, and actually keep smiling and waving to the end, as a patriotic American I could do no less, right? But the GOD-DAMNED YAMMERMOUTHED BLOVIATING ASSHOLES on CBS and ABC (NBC quit partway through) just would.not.shut.UP. I finally abandoned the large-screen TV for a live and blessedly uncommented-upon feed from [cnn.com](http://cnn.com) on my computer. Well worth the lesser image quality! ---

You should have watched C-SPAN. Nobody talking. Absolute silence except for the guys at the various podiums. Whole minutes of raw footage of the parade, and nobody saying a word. ---

Yes, if I had C-SPAN, I would have watched it all on that; but my cable package is the absolute rock-bottomest basic and C-SPAN isn’t included. Hell, I don’t even have CNN. ---

My office mates didn’t understand why I preferred to watch the feed from WBUR on my laptop instead of watching in HD in the main confrence room. No blathering idiots on TV or in the room with me, it was awesome. ---
