Given how much I hate conflict, it’s funny how much I love the Pit. What it comes down to for me is pure authenticity. Every great once in a while, a thread will come along that starts out as the typical bitchfest and evolves into a real exchange of ideas. You don’t have to wonder what people are really thinking. Nobody’s blowing smoke up your ass in the Pit. ---

I think you get more honest, interesting discussions when people don’t have to worry about getting warnings if their disagreement is a little too disagreeable. Plus, it’s always nice to just be able to tell someone flat out when they’re being a huge dildo. ---
