That “Am I Behind?” thread made me think of this. Me? I’ve had a driver’s license for \>40 years, and I have never run out of gas. I’ve driven on fumes a few times, but never actually run out. I have never seen either of the “Top Gun” movies, either. ---

I have seen very few Disney movies. Like **Aspenglow** , I’ve never broken a bone and don’t intend to. Never had a pet dog or cat. Was homeschooled, so I missed out on nearly all of the K-12 student experience. I have never gotten drunk, in the sense of being inebriated. For some reason I quickly get sick and feel unwell with even small amounts, so I never had any time when my judgment was impaired or felt the chill-happy-relaxed feeling people speak of. Never smoked. ---

I don’t know if it’s cheating because I’m not from the US where it’s most common, but I’ve never eaten or even tasted peanut butter. It’s a rare item here in Germany, but I can imagine how it tastes and don’t intend to. When I first heard about a thing called peanut butter and jelly sandwich, I mentally puked a little, because I can’t imagine anything more sugary and vile. ETA: and yeah, I’ve also never seen Top Gun and have no interest to. When the original movie came out I was 18 and mature enough to avoid military porn. ---

Never broken a bone. Never received a traffic ticket, moving or parking. Never smoked weed or done any drugs. Probably the most unusual “never” is that I’m 42 years old and have never had anyone I was close to die on me. I know it’s just a matter of time, my grandparents are in their 80s. But I am almost totally inexperienced with death. (I say almost because both my uncles and my cousin died, but I wasn’t close to them.) ---

But it’s never happened to me, and I don’t think that I know anyone that it’s happened to. Like others, I’ve never had a broken bone. I also never had any of the common “young person” operations. Still have my tonsils and my appendix. ---

Gotten a drivers license ( got a temporary) Smoked, even though I was allowed to at 12. Ridden a motorcycle ( too risky) Never got hit by my parents Cut my hair shorter than my bra line. Been divorced ---
