The ones I remember were savory/salty. Boiling is just another way to cook whole peanuts. The texture is not quite crunchy like blister peanuts, but they are softer. Good peanuty flavor. ---

Same texture as edamame or bean-soup beans. Salty/savory, not at all sweet. They’re a favorite in the Southern US and Hawaii: not places especially renowned for healthy eating habits. Beware those roadside stands. They can sit in cooled-down water, resulting in the screaming shits. ---

I’m one of the really cool people who haven’t broken a bone. Read nor seen a Harry Potter book/film. Knowingly listened to a Taylor Swift song. Been to a funeral nor belonged to a religion; well, I guess I was baptized at some point, but have never practiced. Eaten a raw oyster. Owned a muscle car. Voted for a Republican. ---

Same here – no interest whatsoever in that movie. I’m 65 years old and have lived at the same address in St. Paul, Minn., for 35+ years and I’ve never received a summons for jury duty. I’m not off the grid by any means … I pay property taxes here, register to vote here, and I’ve even been an employee of the city for about 10 years. The government knows where I am, in other words. But no summons, ever. ---

They’re also made from immature peanut pods. I have also never seen an episode of MASH. That was the only program we weren’t allowed to watch when I was growing up (Dad didn’t want us to think there was anything funny or entertaining about war) and while I understand the cultural references, I’ve never watched it. As for peanut butter, my mother was a small-town kid during WWII, and while she usually went home for lunch, they did have a cafeteria at the school, and one thing on the regular menu was peanut butter soup. It was exactly what it sounded like - PB mixed with milk, or more likely water, and heated up. Even the kids who were on the verge of starvation wouldn’t eat that. ---

I’ve never been drunk, and never desired to. I don’t have any objection, moral or otherwise, to drinking. I just don’t like the taste and hate being out of control, especially in public. I haven’t really missed the experience. Never done any drugs, either. I was always scared to, and even now that weed is legal, I really don’t have any interest. The only drug I’ve ever wanted to try (assuming it were safe and legal) is LSD, but that isn’t going to happen. ---

I love love love peanut butter with either jelly or raisins. I have PBJ for lunch and average of 5 or 6 times a week. and I’m in my sixties. ---

I used to make double peanut butter and jelly sandwiches: three slices of bread with alternating p.b. and grape jelly on the four interior surfaces of the slices. Of course for much of my adult life I’ve been as much as 100 lbs or more overweight, and I’m now going through purgatory trying to reform my weight. ---

Natural peanut butter is the only kind I use. I insist on its being salted. Salt brings out the flavor just right. Cow butter I always get unsalted. They may share a name but they’re totally different. For me the optimal sandwich is natural peanut butter and dates on whole wheat, optionally with almond butter too. ---
